  1. you may need a hormone supplement depending on how old y ou are. Nourish your kidneys an adrenals. Look for that on the internet. How to nourish the adrenals. The best thing you co for your adrenals is treat yourself well. You need to go to bed early and eat healthy mostly. Exersice is great but dont overdue it. Balancing your life is the best way to get your adrenals to work for you again.

  2. i’ve recently met a doctor
who professes the importance of hormonal balance
    l-glutamine supplements
are a good way to begin
avoiding salts, sugars and fats in your diet helps
    his book “the stress effect”
    makes for dry reading
    but very informative
    google him

  3. Hi, there. I feel your pain. Adrenal fatigue is horrible!! I see an Integrative MD who did food allergy tests that revealed a number of food allergies. Eliminating those foods has made an incredible difference in my energy levels and overall health. I have several friends who have found relief from adrenal fatigue simply by eliminating all dairy products and dairy derivatives from their diet. They were able to do this without having food allergy tests and it made an immediate difference in how they felt.

I also do a continual Candida cleanse, as a Candida infection puts a drain on the adrenals. My doc told me to take the following on a daily basis: B-complex vitamin, Vit. C, Vit. D, Magnesium, Zinc, Multivitamin & Mineral, and a good fish oil or flax oil supplement. (Be aware that flax oil MUST be refrigerated or it will go rancid in a very short time period. Never buy any flax oil supplement that is not refrigerated.) Starting on those supplements helped me feel better very quickly. I also received Vitamin B12 shots that had an immediate effect on my energy levels. I added Milk Thistle and Turmeric to the regiment the doctor recommended, as both are very healing and cleansing for the liver. You should NOT take any hormones, natural or synthetic, without first receiving a thorough hormone test of the saliva. These tests will indicate how your hormones fluctuate throughout the day and may indicate some other supplements or treatments you can use to feel better.

I feel much better on the days I can sleep in past 8 or later. Figure out your body’s schedule and try to work your daily schedule to fit. I know that’s easier said than done, but it does work. I’ve also found that going to bed by 9 pm works, but I have to admit I’m a night owl and hate that. :)

If nothing else, please know you’re not alone. There are many of us out here who have the same struggles you do and who can empathize with how tough it can be … especially since you don’t “look” sick. Feel free to contact me personally if you’d like more info. I wish you the very best of luck.

Have you read the book, “Adrenal Fatigue” by a Dr. Wilsoon? It is the best source of information I’ve found on adrenal fatigue. I highly recommend getting a copy or checking one out from the library. One of the best parts of the book is a test to identify if your symptoms are related to adrenal fatigue or not. The book also gives a very specific description of adrenal fatigue that made me feel like they were writing about me. It’s an essential reference for anyone with adrenal fatigue. You can find more information about it at.

Beyond that, I agree with several of the other respondents. Eat a very healthy diet, let yourself rest when you need to (even if it’s only a 10-minute break

  4. Is the thyroid involved? My friend who is a doc of Chinese medicine says the iodine from Iodinesource.com (Edgar Cayce formulation) is really good for the thyroid.
    I would suggest no coffee.
Additionally, check for other food sensitivies / allergies. You can check through someone who practices NAET or similar — or, if there’s no one in your area who practices such things or money is an issue, you can try eliminated common food allergens from your diet, keeping a journal, and then add things back in as “test” to see how your body reacts.
    Good luck!
